OFFICE CLOSURE NOTICE:
Fifty three years ago I started my ophthalmology career with the U.S. Army and left as Chief of Ophthalmology in1971 to enter private practice in Maryland. Starting the Pediatric Eye Service at Georgetown University Hospital, teaching residents and medical students, and provoking the initiation of outpatient pediatric eye surgery at Georgetown were challenging and rewarding experiences. But nothing has compared with the stimulating and enjoyable relationships that have developed between me and several thousand patients over the past years.
Unlike most pediatric practices that transfer patients elsewhere after they turn 12 years old, my office let patients themselves decide when to leave. The downside: it’s been very emotional to say goodbye to so many longstanding faithful patient families.
So once again it’s time to say farewell and I wish you the best of health and happiness.
-Dr. Keys MD PA
With my retirement, all patient records are being scanned and will be available through EYE DOCTORS OF WASHINGTON at 301-215-7100. (www.edow.com)
